ESPN No. 95 ranked high school senior Alpha Diallo has committed to Providence.
The 6-7 forward out of Brewster Academy (NH) averaged 13.7 points and 6.8 rebounds with the Colorado Hawks at the Adidas Gauntlet last summer.
Diallo also averaged 20.5 points and 10.7 rebounds at the Adidas Nations playing for team Africa.
“It just felt like the relation with the coaches was there,” Diallo told Scout.com on why he chose Providence. “Just feel wise and just that connection I’ve had with the coaches and the team and the situation that they have. I believe in what they are going to do for me.”
“It had a family feel,” added Diallo. “I just felt like it was the right thing to do. I felt like it was a good place to go in and improve.”
With his commitment, there are now only five top 100 high school seniors who still have not yet picked a college: No. 15 Jarrett Allen, No. 16 Marques Bolden, No. 61 Charlie Moore, No. 75 Taurean Thompson, and No. 91 Deshawn Corprew.
Providence beat out the likes of Oklahoma State, Seton Hall, UConn, Indiana, Miami, and Florida to land Diallo.
