ESPN No. 90 ranked high school junior Landers Nolley has revealed the five colleges where he will make his official school visits.
They are: Oklahoma State, Virginia Tech, Georgia, Illinois, and Connecticut.
The 6-7 small forward averaged 24.7 points, 7.1 rebounds, and 1.9 steals on 57 percent field goal shooting this season for Langston Hughes HS (Fairburn, GA), leading the team to the Georgia State Championship.
Nolley also had a strong AAU season, averaging 21.6 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 3.4 assists for Team Loaded at the Adidas Summer Championships in Las Vegas.
The swingman also shot a team-leading 50 percent from three for Nike South Beach in the Nike EYBL.
“[UConn] Coach [Kevin] Ollie loves me. They have nice guards and I think they’re gonna be good this year. Guard play is big with them,” Nolley told D1Vision.com. “[Virginia Tech] head coach [Buzz Williams] loves me [also]. They’re in the ACC. In the last couple years, the ACC has had more draftees than any other conference.”
Basketball Society Online’s Stephen Rodgers believes that whichever school lands Nolley will be getting a heck of a player.
“Jamie Shaw of Hoop Phenom Report [said] that his game and physical stature are eerily similar to [the Suns’] Devin Booker,” wrote Rodgers. “Landers is a guy who can score on all three levels with ease. He has the type of skill set to play either point guard, shooting guard, or small forward.”
