ESPN No. 11 ranked high school junior Naz Reid has picked his top 7 schools.
They are: Kentucky, Kansas, Arizona, UCLA, Louisville, LSU, and Seton Hall.
The 6-10, 240-pound center out of Roselle Catholic (New Jersey) is averaging 15.5 points, 10.1 rebounds, and 2.3 blocks for Sports U on the Under Armour circuit through 11 games this spring.
Reid is also shooting 50 percent from three for the AAU squad.
He averaged 10.2 points and 7.7 rebounds the previous season as a sophomore at Roselle Catholic.
Reid was even more dominant this season at RC, including producing a monster 24-point, 11-rebound, 10-assist, 5-block game at the HoopHall Classic in January.
“I was able to get position and score the basketball,” Reid told Rivals.com of his big game. “My passing is a big weapon. Not many bigs with my size are as unselfish as I am so I think it’s a tremendous advantage for me.”
Kentucky Rivals T.J. Walker believes Reid is a complete player.
“Reid is a versatile big that can stretch the floor but has a solid skill set despite his young age,” Walker wrote.
According to thespun.com’s Andrew McCarty, the big man could he headed to UK.
“Kentucky is the current favorite to land the top recruit, with 50 percent of predictions from 247Sports, projecting Reid to land with the Wildcats,” McCarty wrote.
