Robert Morris’ Rodney Pryor has transferred to Georgetown.
The 6-5, 205-pound guard led Robert Morris in scoring and rebounding this season, averaging 18.5 points and 8 rebounds for the (10-22) Colonials.
With his strong play this year, Pryor was named to the All-Northeast Conference First-Team.
As a graduate transfer, Pryor will be able to play for the Hoyas in the fall without having to sit out a season.
“This is a player who can put the ball in the basket,” reads casualhoya.com’s analysis of Pryor. “He is a confident outside shooter and is willing and able to shoot off the dribble, on the move, and in catch-and-shoot situations.”
“In addition, he has been a fantastic defensive rebounder, grabbing 8.0 rebounds per game, which is a strong number for a guard,” adds casualhoya.com. “Pryor is a talented, experienced player.”
Pryor will be joining a Georgetown squad coming off a disappointing 15-18 season in which they failed to make the NCAA tournament.
The Hoyas beat out the likes of Florida, Gonzaga, and Oregon to land Pryor.
