The 6-5, 209-pound shooting guard made 2 threes, while shooting a blistering 70 percent (7-of-10) from the field and sinking 9-of-10 from the line.
Wafer also had 7 assists, 3 rebounds, and 2 steals in the game.
Troy Gillenwater (New Mexico State) added 24 points and 7 rebounds for Shaanxi in the win.
For Beijing, JunXiong Zhang poured in 25 points in the loss.
But the star of the game was Wafer, who is averaging 33.5 points, 3.7 assists, and 5.1 rebounds this season for first place Shaanxi (21-5).
A college star at Florida State, Wafer led the team in scoring as a sophomore in 2004-05, averaging 12.5 points and 2.5 rebounds.
The 39th overall pick in the 2005 Draft, he averaged 5.3 points and 1.2 rebounds in six NBA seasons with the Lakers, Clippers, Nuggets, Blazers, Rockets, Celtics, and Magic.
A prep standout at Pineview High School (Lisbon, LA), Wafer averaged 32 points, 10 rebounds, and 7 assists as a junior.
