Ex-Knick Alexey Shved poured in 23 points for Russia’s BC Khimki Moscow in a 92-75 loss to Greece’s Olympiacos in the Euroleague.
The 6-6 guard made 4 threes, while shooting a perfect 9-for-9 from the line.
Shved also had 5 assists, 3 rebounds and a steal in the game.
Thomas Robinson (Kansas) added 19 points and 11 rebounds for BC Khimki in the defeat.
For Olympiacos, former Spurs first round pick Nikola Milutinov had 17 points, while Hollis Thompson (Georgetown) added 12 points in the victory.
But the star of the game was Shved, who is averaging a team-high 18.3 points with 4 assists for BC Khimki through three Euroleague games.
He comes from Russia’s VTB United League, where he was the league’s leading scorer last season, averaging 23.2 points and team-high 5.2 assists for BC Khimki .
Shved was also named the MVP of the 2016-17 Eurocup.
The previous season he also played for BC Khimki where he was the team’s top scorer at 17 points a game.
In 2014-15, Shved had a breakout NBA season with the Knicks when he averaged 14.8 points in 16 games after coming to the club from the Rockets.
That summer, Shved rejected an offer to return to the Knicks to sign a three-year, $10.2 million pact with BC Khimki.
According to the Sporting News, the lucrative deal made Shved the highest paid basketball player outside of the NBA.
In parts of three NBA seasons with the Wolves, Rockets, Knicks and Sixers, Shved averaged 10.3 points and 2.5 assists.
Before coming to the U.S., Shved played with CSKA Moscow, winning the 2007-08, 2008-09, 2010-11 and 2011-12 Russian National Championships.
