No. 3 ranked high school junior Cameron Reddish has committed to Duke.
The 6-7 forward out of Westtown School (Norristown, PA) averaged 22.6 points, 7.8 rebounds, and 3 assists for Team Final on the Nike EYBL circuit this summer.
Reddish, a forward with point guard skills, was a perfect fit for a star-studded Westtown squad this year that also included No. 4 Sr Mohamed Bamba (Texas) and No. 37 Sr Brandon Randolph (Arizona).
“I’m going somewhere that I can be challenged as a leader, challenged as a student, challenged to grow up, on and off the court,” Reddish told The Players’ Tribune. “And that’s why I’ll be attending Duke University.”
The Duke Chronicle’s Hank Tucker sees the multi-talented Reddish as the next Blue Devil superstar.
“A versatile wing that can play almost any position on the floor, Reddish could have a similar role as Jayson Tatum and Brandon Ingram in past years for Duke,” Tucker wrote.
Scout loves Reddish’s game.
“Cameron Reddish is a talented wing prospect with good size and length for the position [and] with a 7-foot wingspan,” reads Scout’s analysis. “He [has] good shot mechanics and is capable of getting hot in catch and shoot situations. Reddish also has potential as a perimeter defender because of his lateral movement, length and athleticism. He’s loaded with natural talent.”
The Blue Devils beat out UCLA, Kentucky, Villanova, and UConn to land Reddish.
At Duke, Reddish will join fellow 2018 recruit No. 10 Tre Jones.
