D-League Playoffs Primer: All You Need To Know

The 2017 NBA D-League Playoffs, which begin Tuesday, April 4th, are here.

It is a three-round, best-of-3 tournament to determine the 2017 NBADL champion.

The Sioux Falls Skyforce won last year’s title after compiling the best regular season in D-League history (40-10), breaking the previous regular season wins mark held by the 2011-12 Los Angeles D-Fenders, which went 38-12.

This year, the defending champs finished third in the Southwest Division with a 29-21 record and will play the SW division leaders, the Oklahoma City Blue (34-16) in a first round matchup.

The league’s top team this season was the Raptors 905 (39-11), who are led by 6-7 guard Axel Toupane (France) and coached by former NBA and UNC star Jerry Stackhouse.

The 905 face the Canton Charge in the first round.
