Former Cincinnati star James White was named the Eurobasket.com Player of the Week in the Croatia A1 basketball league.
The 6-7 shooting guard poured in a game-high 19 points to lead KK Cedevita Zagreb to a 91-84 win over Union Olimpija.
White shot a blistering 82 percent from the field (9-of-11) in the contest.
He also had 6 rebounds and 2 assists.
With the victory, Cedevita improved to 17-6 and moved into 2nd place in the Adriatic League.
On the season, White is the team’s third leading scorer, averaging 8.9 points along with 3.8 rebounds and 2.6 assists.
A college star at Cincinnati, White led the team in scoring (15.9) and free throw percentage (.839) as a senior, while ranking second in steals (1.1), assists (2.1), blocks (0.8), and third in rebounding (5.0).
White, a world-class athlete known for his high-flying dunks, was drafted 31st overall by the Blazers in 2006.
He has averaged 2.7 points and 1 rebound in parts of three seasons with the Spurs, Rockets, and Knicks.
