No 8 Sr Anfernee Simons May Go Straight To NBA

Watch No 8 Sr Anfernee Simons (VIDEO)

ESPN No. 8 ranked high school senior Anfernee Simons, who decommitted from Louisville amid the school’s alleged role in a FBI bribery investigation, may skip college and go directly to the NBA.   “If the opportunity was there and enough teams wanted me then I would strongly consider it,” Simons told 247Sports of entering the 2018 NBA Draft.   "I can see myself going to the NBA combine if I have enough teams to actually invite me or recommend me for the combine and enough teams want to bring me for workouts,” Simons added to ESPN.   Simons, a 6-3 shooting guard, averaged a whopping 23.9 points last season for Edgewater HS (Orlando, FL).   Last spring, Simons averaged a league-leading 22.9 points on 43 percent shooting from three for Team Breakdown on the Under Armour 16’s AAU circuit.   His Team Breakdown coach Kenny Gillion said the top ranked Simons is an explosive player.   “The big thing is he’s a scorer,” coach Gillion told Scout. “He led the under Armour group in scoring. He can score from the perimeter. He’s very athletic and he can score in transition. But he also has the ability to handle and distribute the ball. He had tremendous upside.”   If Simons does decide to go to college, he is considering the likes of Florida, NC State, South Carolina and Tennessee.   Stay tuned.     For more basketball news go to http://www.blacktoptv.com/
