Oregon Gets No. 21 Jr Louis King

Oregon Gets No. 21 Jr Louis King

ESPN No. 21 ranked high school junior Louis King has committed to Oregon.   The 6-8 small forward averaged 13.3 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 1.3 blocks this season for a loaded Hudson Catholic (NJ) squad that also included No. 23 Jr Jahvon Quinerly (Arizona ), and No. 94 Jr Luther Muhammad (Ohio State).   King also had a strong summer, averaging 17.6 points and 6.8 rebounds in the Nike EYBL on a for Team Final squad that also featured No. 18 Jr and LSU commit Naz Reid.   "Out of all of my schools I felt like it was best for me and my family," King told MADE Hoops of choosing the Ducks. "[Head] Coach [Dana] Altman said that I would have the ball in my hands throughout the season. When I get there, it will be an easy adjustment for me with how I handle rock and get my teammates open. Our goal is to win a national championship next year."   The Bleacher Report’s Adam Wells loves King’s game.   "He runs the floor well, is smooth for his size and has the natural tools to have a polished skill set down the road,” Wells wrote. “He makes quick instinct plays with the ball and shows some flashes of sheer brilliance.”   “There will be moments where he'll handle in traffic, knock down a three with a quick release, throw pinpoint passes the length of the floor and spin into tough mid-range pull-ups," added Wells.   The Ducks beat out the likes of Kansas, Maryland, UConn, NC State, Syracuse, and Purdue to land King.   At Oregon King will join fellow 2018 recruit No. 58 Miles Norris.     For more basketball news go to http://www.blacktoptv.com/
