Northwestern Gets No. 23 Jr PG Jordan Lathon

Northwestern Gets No. 23 Jr PG Jordan Lathon

247Sports’ No. 23 ranked high school junior point guard Jordan Lathon has committed to Northwestern.   The 6-4 floor general averaged 16.5 points, 7 rebounds, and 5 assists this season for Grandview HS (MO), leading the team to a 24-5 record.   “After much prayer and consideration, I've decided that I want to further my education and basketball career with Coach [Chris] Collins and his staff," Lathon said via Twitter. “Northwestern, I’m your next point guard!!”   Scout’s Brian Snow loves Lathon’s game.   “Lathon is a big guard who can play on the ball or off of it,” wrote Snow. “He is an excellent athlete and is at his best attacking and getting into the lane. During the spring he was very effective as well on the defensive end of the floor.”   “Lathon shows good communication skills on the court, and brings a ton of versatility to the floor every time he steps on it,” adds Snow.   Northwestern beat out the likes of Butler, Illinois, Wake Forest, and Iowa State to land Lathon.   Lathon is the Wildcats’ first 2018 recruit.     For more basketball news go to http://www.blacktoptv.com/
