Former Cal State Fullerton star Bobby Brown has signed with Besiktas Istanbul in the Turkish Basketball Super League (BSL).
The 6-2 guard comes from the Chinese Basketball Association where he averaged 29.2 points, 6.3 assists, and 4.7 rebounds for the DongGuan Leopards this year.
The previous season, Brown also played in China for DongGuan, when he averaged 31.3 points, 6.3 assists and 4.3 rebounds, and led the team to the CBA playoff semifinals.
Last year he also played in Toronto’s Pan-American Games, where he averaged 17.6 points and 4.4 assists to guide the USA to the Bronze medal.
A star at Cal State Fullerton, Brown led the Titans in scoring and assists as senior, averaging 20.2 points and 5.1 assists to guide the school to a 20-10 record in 2006-7.
Undrafted out of college, Brown averaged 5.1 points and 1.8 assists in parts of two NBA seasons with the Wolves, Kings, Pelicans and Clippers.
A high school star at Westchester HS (CA), he guided the school to back-to-back Div. I state championships.
Brown has also played overseas in Germany (ALBA Berlin and EWE Baskets), Greece (Aris), Italy (Mens Sana Siena), and Poland (Asseco).
