4 UK Commits Named To Jordan Brand Classic

Four Kentucky commits, No. 22 Sr Quade Green, No. 14 P.J. Washington, No. 23 Jarred Vanderbilt, and No. 11 Nick Richards have been named to the 2017 Jordan Brand Classic.

The prestigious high school all-star game, which features the nation’s best prep players, will be played April 14 at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center.

And the Wildcats will be well-represented at the star-studded event.

Green, a 6-1 point guard, averaged 18.7 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 3.8 assists last season for Neumann-Goretti HS (Philadelphia, PA), guiding the team to the PIAA Class 3A state championship.

Green also had a strong summer, leading the Nike EYBL in assists and steals, averaging 14.9 points, 9.8 assists, and 3.2 steals for the PSA Cardinals.

Washington, a 6-8 forward out of Findlay College Prep (Las Vegas), led his Nike EYBL squad Team Penny in scoring and rebounding last season, averaging 17.4 points and 10.9 rebounds.

Vanderbilt, a 6-8 forward out of Victory Prep Academy (Houston, TX) led his Nike EYBL Houston Hoops team in a rebounds and assists last year, averaging 13.5 points, 10.9 rebounds, and 3.7 assists playing alongside No. 20 Sr and Kansas commit Billy Preston.

Richards, a 6-11, 250-pound center out of The Patrick School (Elizabeth, NJ), averaged 12 points, 9.8 rebounds, and 1.9 blocks for Expressions Elite in Nike EYBL last summer.

“Overall Richards is one of the best rebounders, shot blockers, and position defenders in the class of 2017,” wrote Scout’s Brian Snow. “He should be an instant impact player on the defensive end from the moment he steps on campus.”
